Gifted children can be found living throughout Australia, even in the most remote locations.
Associate Professor Margaret Plunkett from Federation University, Australia has conducted research into how teachers in regional Victoria cater for giftedness and on the impact of like minds ability grouping in regional settings.
Associate Professor Plunkett states that “much of the research suggests that while there are specific challenges associated with being gifted and growing up and being educated in rural and remote environments, these are not insurmountable.”
