“I met so many amazing people, so culturally diverse and interesting. One of my favourite things to do was to learn more about different people and listen to their stories.. I have definitely grown as a person through opening up and listening to the lives of people from different cultural backgrounds from my own.”

– Neika, 2018 participant

“Over the course of our voyage we all bonded not just as friends but now as a family, we learned things about each other and learned even more about ourselves.”

– Chloe, 2017 participant

“After the voyage, I have become more open to people along with challenges alternating from school to everyday encounters.”
-Richard, 2015 and 2016 participant

“I can’t believe that we could have had such an amazing, life changing experience with not a mobile phone in sight for 10 days!”
– Finlay Cooper, 2016 Participant

“They really have self-belief now that they can do something and they are proud, as they should be, stepping out of their comfort zones and communities to do this”
– Sharon Wright, former Youth Settlements Pathways Coordinator, Migrant Resource Centre
